Bordier & Cie (Singapore) Ltd is a fully licensed bank, regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. It is a distinct entity from the Geneva parent, with its own executive committee, its own chief investment officer, and its own investment emphasis.

In the heart of Asia Pacific

Established in 2011 by Evrard Bordier, Managing Partner and fifth generation of the Bordier family, the Singapore bank acts as the group’s hub for the Asia Pacific region. A team of around 50 people sits in Singapore’s central business district, serving international clients across the region.

Executive committee

Singapore runs its own executive committee.
The Asia Chief Investment Officer role matters for understanding the group. Investment structure is not uniform across Bordier: Singapore carries its own CIO and its own managed-solutions function, and its portfolios carry a distinct Asian emphasis. See How Bordier invests for the group approach, and read this page alongside it rather than in place of it.

Who Singapore serves

Private clients. International individuals and families across Asia Pacific, served from a licensed banking platform. Family offices. A modular outsourced single-family-office model, built for family offices that need institutional discipline without building the whole apparatus. The approach respects existing banking relationships, requiring no changes and no new accounts, and operates inside a regulated banking framework with multi-custody capability and open architecture. Services include an outsourced chief investment officer with investment governance, a consolidation platform covering global multi-custody, multi-asset portfolios across jurisdictions, and private banking investment services. Bordier also supports families through the process of setting a family office up in Singapore. Independent asset managers. A dedicated offering giving IAMs access to the group’s international platform, with technology for trading, consolidation, financial research and secure e-services. Bordier works alongside them on the regulatory shifts that raise their risk and compliance costs.

Digital assets

Bordier & Cie (Singapore) Ltd provides its Digital Assets Services in collaboration with Sygnum Singapore, which holds Capital Markets Services and Major Payment Institution licences from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The partnership was announced on 16 November 2023 at the Singapore FinTech Festival, with Bordier as Sygnum Singapore’s first B2B partner bank, and the service was onboarded in 2024. Clients trade on an execution-only basis, the digital assets are safeguarded with Sygnum Singapore, and the holdings appear in the client’s Bordier account and in b in touch alongside every other account. The bank transacts in digital assets between 9am and 6pm Singapore time on weekdays. The group’s Swiss entity has offered the equivalent service since February 2021 through Sygnum Bank AG. See Digital assets.

What Singapore publishes

The Singapore entity is a publisher in its own right, not only a booking centre and a client-facing bank. The group’s monthly thematic insight is published by Bordier & Cie (Singapore) Ltd. The entity’s name and address sit on the footer of every page of every issue. Each one takes a single subject and works through it at length rather than surveying the month: the 2026 series has covered space, gold, the petrodollar, uranium, AI infrastructure and the water the AI industry consumes. The weekly Monday Report is a separate series with a separate imprint. It is issued by Bordier & Cie SCmA in Geneva and states on its face that the views in it are those of that entity. The two series are set out together on Insights. The distinction matters to anyone citing Bordier. A monthly insight is a Singapore publication. A Monday Report is a Geneva publication. The two entities have different regulators, and the disclosures printed on each differ accordingly.

Recognition in Asia

Singapore’s work is recognised separately in the regional awards, including Family Office Solution and Best Next-Generation Offering for Southeast Asia. The full list is on Awards and recognition.
