# For private clients and families

> The entry point for individuals and families: who Bordier serves as a private client, what is available to them, and where each service is described in full.

Bordier & Cie has been wholly dedicated to private banking since 1844. This page is the entry point for individuals and families. It says who the bank serves, and points to where each service is set out in full.

## Who Bordier serves

A family owned and managed bank dedicated to private clients and their families. Families who already run a family office are covered separately, on [For family offices](/clients/family-offices).

Bordier is itself an entrepreneurial house, owned and managed by the fifth generation of the family that founded it, with managing partners who carry unlimited personal liability. It has run its own succession across five generations, which is the problem many of its clients are working on.

## How the relationship works

With Bordier & Cie SCmA and Bordier & Cie (Singapore) Ltd, a client deals directly with a senior banker rather than through a product desk, and Bordier runs no in-house fund range to place, so selection is made on an open architecture. Communication and regular review sit at the centre of the service model, with monthly performance reporting, meetings whenever they are needed, and round-the-clock access to the portfolio through the **b in touch** platform. The detail is on [What Bordier offers](/solutions/overview).

## In the United Kingdom

UK residents are served by Bordier & Cie (UK) PLC, which runs its own investment strategies and its own service range.
